As well as celebrating the great work of a fellow musician, this will also be the release of the new album to be released under Updown Records! I am excited to share it with you all and ready to bring some musical love to your city!

The New Album is Well Under Way

Great news! I have officially begun work on my third album! This has been a long time in the making, and I could not be more excited about the process. As some of you may know, I took a trip to Lubbock, Texas, my home town in the Fall of last year, locked myself in the church sanctuary I grew up in, and spent two days tracking the piano for the new album. Then, in February, I found out I would officially be supported by Updown Records, the label of Blue October singer Justin Furstenfeld, who is also producing the album! I cannot wait to include you all in the process as we go along. This is the most excited I have ever been about an album and it is my hope to offer you the best work I have released thus far. Thank you for all of your support and stay tuned here for exclusive behind the scenes photos, videos and more!

Sometimes I'm too much
Too much for any to do list
Too much for the situation
of social norms
of not pushing boundaries
I funnel myself through
your fear
as to not make it uncomfortable
that I want to share my light
and shoot it out to the corners
of every atom
Screaming that there is a way
right up the road
I lay back
Let them talk
Let the world pass by
Let you feed that ego
your daily bread
keeps you numb
I want to take the risks
that propel change
that ring in the new
But I don't
Because your precious
happy bubbles
your throne of complacent comfort
you wear so proudly like a
general of the general
I ooze out sometimes
but patch up the leaks
so you won't feel threatened
By magnificence
By freedom
By the newness of my joy
each and every moment
I keep safely muted
And I know that its my world I come to terms with upon
turning out the light
and your world to recognize.
